Bargain of the week
Deep purple-red colour leads into a youthful pIum and blackberry aroma laced with gumleaf-mint. It's bright and a trifle raw, Iight - to meduim - bodied and spicy in the mouth with fresh acidity, soft tannis and good drinkibility. Best young.NV
Home Ideas, September 2011
Crafted at the family winery in the Clare Valley this Promised Land red is the quintessential Australian Shiraz, with red berry flavours and fine gentle tannins blending harmoniously to leave a soft silky finish. It is best accompanied with Australian blue cheese or vintage cheddar.NV
Jeff Collerson, Daily Telegraph, October 2011
It's not often one finds such savoury, spicy aromas on a modestly priced red. In the mouth there are dark berry fruits and good oak with decent palate weight. There is vibrant, lively acidity on the finish.NV
James Halliday, 1001 Wines Under $20, November 2011
No one would suggest this is a great wine, however much it has from time to time suprised in wine shows. It has good colour, a pleasant varietal bouquet, and a medium bodied palate bringing together fruit, American oak flavours and soft tannins. It's obvious value at the price, and ready now.NV

Savoury/smoky aromas with a perfumed fruit lift. Lovely fresh palate with great depth of rich flavours and lovely silky-smooth mouthfeel.
