Generous blackcurrant and red berry fruit flavours, dark chocolate and subtle spice carry through to a smooth lingering finish.
At release, the wine is deep red with a slightly purple hue.

This is the Clare Valley winery's newest range, meaning they now have five basic pricing levels for their wines. The fact this sits second from the bottom in terms of price is quite amazing. It's offering real value. There are mixed berries flavours - some blackberry and red currant - and then you find a line of dark chocolate flavours that add some layered complexity. Cellar if you like, but for me it's tailor-made for good day-to-day quaffing at a price you can afford.
